Aida Thomas Register, 80, resident of Pinellas County, passed away, July 4, 2021. She was born in New Port Richey and graduated from Gulf High School. After attending St. Petersburg Junior College, she worked in the banking industry. She met and married the love of her life, Woodrow V. Register, and became a resident of Pinellas County living in St. Petersburg, Dunedin, and finally in Palm Harbor. Aida was a member and communion steward at St. Alfred’s Episcopal Church, sailed with the Salty Sisters at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, active with the Rotary Ann’s of Dunedin, member and officer with the St. Petersburg Junior League, as well as the Clearwater Junior League, member of the Florida Gulf Coast Symphony, and a member of the Huguenot Society of America. She was active with the Dunedin High School PTSA and the DHS cheerleading boosters. In 1968, Aida joined the Daughters of The American Revolution where she was active in the local, state, and national levels. She was given the title of Honorary State Regent for Life in 1999 and was the Vice President General from Florida from 1999-2001. She is survived by 4 children, Michael Register (the late William Craigen), Woodette Register (Sherry Reed and Family), Russell Register (Huilan Zhao), Rebekah Register-Fiorello (Anthony Fiorello III); 2 grandchildren, Katherine and Anthony Fiorello IV. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 on Saturday, June 25 at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
