Alice Pondakos Bradford “Beba”, 86, passed away on May 25,2024 under the care of Hospice in Dunedin, Florida. Alice was a lifelong resident of Tarpon Springs. She was born on January 20, 1938, to Nickie and Stelios Pondakos. She attended local schools and was in the graduating class of 1956 at Tarpon Springs High School. She was proud to be a majorette in the Fighting Sponger Band and she could still twirl a baton. After high school, Alice attended nursing school and worked for many years for Dr. Hayes and Dr. Austin, both of Tarpon Springs. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, James William Bradford. She is survived by her brother, Manuel Pondakos (Sylvia), her niece Stephanie Splinis (Stylianos) and cousins Phyllis, Cheryl, Jackie, Alice, Stacy, Alicia, Maria, and Johnny. Donations can be made to the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Philoptochos in Tarpon Springs. The funeral service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, June 1 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow at Cycadia Cemetery.
