Carol Lynn (Klehm) Kopacz

Carol Lynn Kopacz, 78, was born in Chicago, Illinois, on August 15,1944, and passed away on August 16, 2022. Carol graduated from high school and attended Business College at North Western University. She worked as a bookkeeper and was very detail oriented. She married Richard Kopacz, and they had one son, Joseph. Carol moved to Pensacola, Florida, from Chicago after her husband passed away. She made a good life for herself and her young son, in Pensacola where she owned various businesses.
Carol's whole life revolved around her son and his soccer games and schooling. Joey was her pride and joy. She was always so very proud of him and all of his accomplishments. After he graduated from law school and started his career as an attorney, she started taking classes at Pensacola State University in the area of law, as she was always interested in his work.
Carol moved to Tarpon Springs to be closer to her son and his family. Her new pride and joy was Joey's, and his wife, Andrea, little girl, Kate. She loved to go shopping and spoil her little granddaughter.
Carol loved arts and crafts, playing BINGO and swimming, especially water aerobics. She volunteered for the Business Women's Association and liked to contribute to various charitable organizations.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Andrea) Kopacz, and her granddaughter Kate; her stepson, Rich (Gail) Kopacz, and their children, Mike (Morgan) Kopacz and Kristin (Scott) Friedman; her cousin, Mareen (Frank) Embrey, and their family.
 

Funeral arrangements will be through Vinson Funeral Home and the graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, September 7, at Cycadia Cemetery, Tarpon Springs.
