Catherine (Dietz) Smith

Catherine (Dietz) Smith, 88, passed away on October 6, 2022. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Raymond Lawrence and Carrie Gladys (Duncan) Dietz. Catherine moved to Florida with her husband, Donald, 32 years ago from Youngstown, Ohio. She loved to read, garden, raise birds and fish, rollerskate, and go bowling. She was the office manager at the district office of the United Methodist Church in Youngstown. She attended the First United Methodist church in Tarpon Springs, where her husband, Donald was an usher for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Carrie Dietz; and one brother, Jack Dietz. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Donald Ray Smith; three daughters, Sandra (Jay) Parker, Sharon (Robert Miller) Davis, Sheila (Thomas) Wilson; one brother, Raymond Dietz; eight grandchildren, David Parker, Daniel Parker, Tami Rojas-Dombroski, Joshua Ciesicki, Matthew Wilson, Amy Taguiam, Jennifer Breymaier, Benjamin Wilson; sixteen great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 on Sunday, October 16 at Sunset Beach Park in Tarpon Springs.
