Christopher George Miller

Christopher George Miller passed away peacefully in his home on November 13, 2024 at the age of 71 after nearly a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Chris was born on January 18,1953 in Paterson, New Jersey to Paul S. Miller and Joanne Miller. He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1971 where he lettered in football. He then graduated from University of Florida in 1975 and the Cumberland School of Law (Birmingham) in 1978. He went on to become Assistant County Attorney for Pasco County before campaigning for eventual Congressman Michael Bilirakis, and later becoming District Director of his Congressional office. During this time he met and fell in love with Evelyn Manias, and they married in 1985 in Tarpon Springs. 

A loving husband to Evelyn, Chris was a pillar of strength and support for his family. He was a devoted father to his son, Paul, coaching sports and offering love, guidance, and a hearty laugh. He cherished family gatherings, and his presence at holidays and celebrations brought warmth and joy to those around him. Chris was passionate in his defense of the right to life of the unborn. He was a die-hard Florida Gator and a football season ticket holder for more than four decades. In his later years he most enjoyed spending time around his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his sister Patti O’Haire (Michael). He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn, and son, Paul (Jacquelyn), along with his two grandchildren, Theodore and Isla, and his sisters Shelley Einbecker and Melanie Sorensen (Doug).

A Traditional Latin funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 23rd, at Epiphany of our Lord Catholic Church, 2510 E Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Florida Right to Life (FRTL.org) 2020 W. Pensacola St. 210-129 Tallahassee, FL 32304. Entombment will follow at Cycadia Cemetery, Tarpon Springs.
