Daniel Paul Wilson, also known as “AB4LN” in the HAM radio world, was born on Oct 31, 1957 and passed away on May 24th 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Hermine and his brother, Tom Wilson. He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Gaynell Wilson; his nephews, Jamie (Chivonne) and Steven (Ashley); great nephews, Ephriam and Noah and great niece Haley; as well as his African Grey birds Jimini and Oliver. Dan took immense pride and joy in “chatting” with them as well as his dog, Roscoe and his cat, Oleo (the only quiet one in the bunch). He filled their home with laughter and love.
Dan was born in Amityville, New York and spent his childhood in Lindenhurst, New York. Dan and his wife Gaynell lived across many states including North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida in their 30 year marriage. Dan had a huge heart and served many years with the JCs. He volunteered in every community he lived in.
Dan was an accomplished musician who enjoyed sharing his love of music, his passion for cooking and his fly fishing hobby with others. Dan’s radiant smile and immense sense of humor created lasting memories for his family, friends and others fortunate enough to know him.
