Eleanor (Staronka) Rocktoff, 93, passed away on August 13, 2024 at Gulfside Hospice in New Port Richey, Florida. Eleanor was born on October 23, 1930 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania and was one of ten children. Eleanor lived in Stamford, Connecticut before relocating to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1980. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Rocktoff (2014), and eight of her siblings (John, Nicholas, Michael, Stephen, William, Mary (Evans), Julie (Suralik), and Sophie Staronka. Eleanor is survived by her children, Greg, Jim, Bill, Rick, and Mary (Mulligan), her seven grandchildren (Emily, Rachael, Sarah, McKenzie, Brady, Alex, and Sam), and her sister, Ann Kozak of Jersey City, New Jersey. Eleanor volunteered with Ruth Eckard Hall and the Suncoast Hospice and was proud of her Ukrainian heritage. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and watching the boats from the Dunedin Causeway.
A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida at a future date.
