Emmanuel Bill Savas, 89, of Tarpon Springs, died March 12, 2019. He was born in Alexandra, Egypt and came to Tarpon Springs in 1952. He was in the merchant marine for 7 years and owner of Emmanuel’s Restaurant for many years. He was a proud member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the AHEPA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Efterpe Savas. He was a loving father and grandfather, who was honored, respected and loved by his family. He is survived by two sons, Bill and Chris Savas; daughter, Tanya (Roy) Savas Mazur; sister, Maria Themistocleos; two grandchildren, Evan and Logan Mazur. Visitation from 12 to 1, with the funeral at 1 pm, all on, Friday, March 15, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment at Cycadia Cemetery. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
