The Baumle family mourns the loss of Frederick Anthony Baumle, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. A relentless fighter until the end, Fred passed away at the age of 62 in the early morning hours of January 26, 2023. He was surrounded by his family, whose support he cherished above all else.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, Fred grew up in Edison, NJ, and later moved to Florida - naturalizing to the warmth of Florida and charm of Tarpon Springs. While in Florida, Fred opened a laser optic manufacturing business with his lifelong friends. They sold the company, but Fred stayed on until the time of his passing, having spent a dedicated 40+ years in the industry.
Genuine to his core, Fred was incredibly industrious, intelligent, and conscientious. Fred was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife Cathy, of 42 years; two sons, Derek and his wife, Nicole and Matt, and his wife, Tehra; daughter, Colette and her husband, Todd; four siblings, Christopher, Peter, Michelle, Adrienne and their spouses. Additionally, Fred enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren - Brendon, Jionni, Logan, and Olivia - as well as numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Fred relished being a grandfather and strove to be the best “Pop Pop” he could; known to boast about his children regularly, he was a proud patriarch to the end. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Frederick; mother, Eleanor; and brother, Michael.
Fred enjoyed traveling with his wife, reading, fishing, stamp collecting, studying geology and gemstones, steam engines, and above all, was an exceptional culinarian. Fred was at his best, surrounded by his family and friends, creating as much flavor with his stove as he did with his sense of humor.
Words cannot convey how much Fred was loved by his family and friends, he will be in all of our hearts and thoughts forever. Into God’s hands he has gone until we are reunited in Heaven.
The Baumle family will be holding a visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 and a memorial service at 11:00, all at Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Rd, New Port Richey, FL 34652 on February 4th, 2023. The family asks for thoughts, prayers, and stories as they grieve the loss of this exceptional man. As Fred had a huge heart for children, the Baumle family requests donations made in Fred's honor to St. Jude Children's research hospital in lieu of flowers.
