George Michael Kontodiakos

George Michael Kontodiakos, 75, of Tarpon Springs, fell asleep with the Lord on, July 17, 2023. He was born on August 13, 1947, in Kalymnos, Greece and emigrated to Tarpon Springs with his family in 1960. He spent his life bridge painting and sponge diving. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his son; Michael (Andi) Kontodiakos; beloved siblings; Pantelis "Pete" (Pamela) Kontodiakos, Nikolaos (Maria) Kontodiakos, Maria Skyllas, Manuel Kontodiakos, John (Argie) Kontodiakos, and Jacqueline (John) Meris; 18 nieces and nephews; 21 grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Angeliki Kontodiakos; sister, Eleni Kontodiakos Liras; sister, Tatiani Kontodiakos Marsh; brother, Demetrios Michael Kontodiakos; and nephew, Elias Meris.
The viewing will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 on Monday, July 24, 2023 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the funeral will be held immediately following at noon. Interment will follow at Cycadia Cemetery.
