James Andrew Thiedt (Jim), 68, of Tarpon Springs, Florida was called home to the Lord on September 30, 2021 after a valiant 5 year battle with lymphoma. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to the Reverend Harold & Martha (Thomas) Thiedt in 1953. Jim retired as a Sergeant from the police department of Lima, Ohio in 2001 after 25 years of service to his community. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Amanda Thiedt, four sons - Matthew Thiedt, Zachary Perrine Sr., Tyler Thiedt, and Aaron Thiedt, a daughter - Alicia Hornsby, and grandchildren Maria, Laila, and Samih Nimeh, Issac, Alex, and Andrew Hornsby, Zachary Perrine Jr, and Kai Thiedt. As well as siblings Susan Thiedt, Don (Peggy Thiedt), Larry ( Liz) Thiedt and families. Jim was a Deacon at Gateway Baptist Church in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He will be greatly missed & fondly cherished by family, friends, his Church, Police Department and fellow "Crownie" boater buddies.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 16th at 1PM at Gateway Baptist Church at 7700 16th Street North in Saint Petersburg, Florida.
