Jane Wilcox Obituary

Mary Jane Wilcox, 86, of Tarpon Springs, passed peacefully in her sleep on August 20, 2020.  She was born April 15, 1934 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Charles Dillon Nash and Ruby Elizabeth (Collins) Nash.  She was a high school graduate of Norwalk, Ohio and following graduation married Wesley E. Wilcox, of, Huron, Ohio on July 15, 1953.  Starting their married life together they moved to Edenton, North Carolina as she became a military wife of a U.S. Marine.  On July 15, 2018 they celebrated together their 65th wedding anniversary.  Jane adored her family and supported them with her constant love and caring in their endeavors.  She loved to dance and listen to music.  Travel was a favorite where she purchased many souvenirs of her adventures.  Home entertaining and throwing parties were her specialties which brought her and her friends many laughs.  Some were to say about her personality that Jane could walk into a crowded elevator of strangers and walk out with life-long friends.  She was preceded in death by Wesley and is survived by daughter, Debbie Allen; son, Chuck (Carole); four grandchildren, Brad Allen (Jen), Matthew Allen, Jenna Wilcox, Mitchell Wilcox; two great grandchildren, Jordan and Blake Allen. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8, on Wednesday, September 2, at Dobies Funeral Home Tarpon Springs Chapel. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, from 1 to 2 and the funeral service will begin at 2, both at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park in Largo.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Pinellas Talking Book Library https://pplc.us/tbl/.  Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
