Joy Slater Obituary

It is with great sadness, the family of, Joy A. Slater, age 79, announces her passing on, January 17, 2022, in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Joy was born on, September 16, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, to her parents, Louis C. Moustakas, I, and Ann Hutchison Moustakas. On February 27, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married, Ronald R. Slater, who preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughters, Shawnee (John) Gongola, of Tehachapi, CA and Kellee (Tom) Godfrey; and grandchildren, Natalee and Noah Godfrey, of Michigan City, Indiana; her brother, Louis (VL) Moustakas, II, of Tarpon Springs; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no service at this time; Joy will be interred next to her husband in Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Indiana.
