Joy "Suzy" Suzanne (Drake) Stansell

Joy "Suzy" Suzanne Stansell, 80, of Tarpon Springs, passed away on August 15, 2021. She was born in Yellow Springs, Ohio, to her parents, Robert and Juanita (Mikesell) Drake, and came to the Anclote area on the train with her parents in 1945 from Yellow Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stansell and one daughter, Tammy Boyko. She is survived by, two sons, Larry Stansell, of Canton, NC and Robert Preston Stansell, Tarpon Springs; two sisters, Dolly Drake, Texas and Mary Ann Drake-Meredith, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Opal Renaud, Drew Locascio, Robby Stansell, Michael, Stansell, Jade Erb, Preston, Stansell, II, Chyna Locascio, Dillon Stansell; ten great grandchildren; four step grandchildren. She loved her roses and was an awesome floral arranger, mother, sister and nanny. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30, on Sunday, August 29, at the Rheba Sutton White Chapel, 1190 Georgia Avenue, Palm Harbor. Graveside service will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park.
