Leroy “Roy” Allen Cowgill, born December 11, 1953, known by many as “Pop-Pop,” passed away on September 21, 2020, at the young age of 66. A hard-working, family man, he fought a good fight and Won. With a life of devotion to God, his children, grandchildren, other family, and friends, his dreams reached beyond his imagination in his experiences with them all. From work to play, he was always optimistic and cheerful; nothing could discourage him. He will continue to live within each of us until we meet again. He is survived by his two daughters, Valerie Cullu and Tonya Rolleston; three grandchildren, Annaleis, Alivia, and Alex Cullu; brother, Ricky Cowgill; step-brother, Patrick Phillips; and many other relatives and friends. Upon his request, we will have a celebration at 2:00, on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at his eldest daughter’s home. Contact the funeral home for more information. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Tarpon Springs Rotary Youth Trust Fund, 623 East Tarpon Avenue, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689, or to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, www.moffitt.org/give. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
