Maria Helen Kon, 72, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024. Maria was born on July 30, 1952, in Debrecen, Hungary's second-largest city. She was brought to the United States as a refugee by her family when they escaped after the failed 1956 uprising against the communist government.
Maria was predeceased by her parents, József and Mária, and by her brother, József. She is survived by her beloved husband, Stevan; her daughter, Jennifer; her dog, Lilli; sister, Eva (Robert) Isaacs; sister, Aniko (Richard) Roth; and brother, Tibor (Edith) Szabo, who will forever hold her memories of her close to their hearts. The family extends its gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
No memorial service will be held.
