Marion Jeannette Porter

Marion Jeanette Porter, passed away April 22, 2024 with friends and family by her side. Jeanette was born in Tarpon Springs to Gordon K. and Cecelia B. Porter. She attended local schools and then Florida State University, where she graduated with a degree in Finance. Jeanette was an active member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority where she met many dear and lifelong friends. Her career was spent with the U.S. Government in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Jacksonville and Orlando. Jeanette was the Chief Manager of the Orlando Office. She is survived by many dear friends and Godchildren including Heather King, Kimberly Foss, Kendall King, Chase King, Levin Vinson and John Wesley Porter Vinson. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Cycadia Cemetery in Tarpon Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jeanette's memory may be made to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home, 51 Children's Way, Enterprise, FL 32725 or to a charity of your choice. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
