Myrtle Mae Marshall Owens, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Friday, January 29th, 2021, in Odessa, Florida, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Gaines Aubrey Owens. She was 84. She was a dedicated wife and mother who treasured her family, foremost and embraced every moment with them. Mrs. Owens was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 4, 1936, to the late, Raymond L. Marshall and Berniece V. Marshall. Her survivors include three daughters: Cynthia Karaphillis (John) from Alachua, FL., Susan Taylor (Butch) from Enterprise, AL., Brenda Szenay(Craig) from Odessa, FL.; two sons: Raymond Owens (Sabrina) from Dalton, Ga., Richard Owens from Phoenix City, AL.; thirteen grandchildren: Jeremy Owens, Brandon Owens, Brittani Fullerton, Ryan Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Brian Szenay, Jarred Owens, Ashley Naylor, Kristin Martin, Olivia Owens, Hannah Owens, Aubrey Taylor, Noah Owens; sixteen great grandchildren: Oliver Owens, Cade Dixon, Silas Owens, Lilly Taylor, Adalyn Taylor, Presley Fullerton, Ellis Owens, Leo Taylor, Clara Owens, Beno Owens, Kole Naylor, Nolan Szenay, Max Taylor, Ezra Taylor, Austin Naylor, Zion Owens and many nieces and nephews; four sisters: Margaret Ertzner, Sue Kosiske, Cookie Lane, Linda Grabowski. She is also preceded by four late sisters: Betty McGovern, Pat Rowland, Kathy Sanden, Rita Scheiding; three late brothers: Ray Marshall, John Marshall, Bob Marshall.
Family graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, January 31, 2021 at New Home Cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama with Reverend Cliff Quincy officiating. Vinson’s Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs, FL. will coordinate with Sorrell’s Funeral Home in Enterprise, AL.
