Nicholas (“Nick”) Pantelis Klonaris, age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Born on October 26, 1946 in Kalymnos, Greece, he was the son of the late Pantelis Klonaris and Atoumissa Mouzourakis Klonaris. He is also predeceased by his four siblings, Theofilis Klonaris, Maria Kouremetis, Katerina Koutroullis, and Manolis Klonaris.
Nick grew up on the island of Kalymnos, Greece and immigrated to the United States in 1964 with his parents, and his siblings Fotini, Mike, and Yiannis. He graduated from Tarpon Springs High School in 1967, and spent 30+ years working as an industrial/commercial painter.
Nick graced the lives of many as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and beloved friend. He loved to spend time playing cards like biriba and pinochle with his brothers and friends, strolling the sponge docks, dabbling in the garden at home, and spending time with immediate and extended family. He was known for his strong gentleness, sense of humor and fierce loyalty. He was the quintessential protector and provider. His smile was the delight of those who loved him most.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Evangelia; his son, Pantelis Klonaris (Amy), of Cooper City, Florida; daughter, Despina Klonaris (Headley Oliver, III), of Clermont, Florida; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan, and Michael Klonaris; and siblings, Fotini Andriotis (Deno), Mike Klonaris, and Yiannis Klonaris (Eleni).
