Paul James Filippone, 56, of Holiday, FL passed away August 26, 2021 at Mease Countryside Hospital.
Survived by his devoted wife, Angela; loving son, Joshua Parker, daughter-in-love Amanda; beloved grandchildren, Alexandra, Jaxson and Maddyx; daughter of the heart, Heather (Jason) and the precious grandchildren of the heart, Skyler, Paige, Kenna, and Payton; his mother, Rose Filippone; sister, Christine Librizzi (Rob); brother, Michael Filippone (Elena); several cousins, and several nieces and nephews; he is also survived by the young men and women whom he looked upon as sons and daughters, namely, Derek, Ryan, Doug, Lara, Bob, Charlie, John, Jason, Eddie, Samantha, Colleen, Natasha, Chaz, and Steve.
Paul was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Frank and Rose Filippone, and graduated from St. Pius X High School in Piscataway, NJ. He moved to FL in 1993. He and Angela were married in 1997, and next June they would have celebrated 25 years of marriage. He worked for BayCare, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lutz, Florida in the Facilities Department at the time of his death, leaving behind several co-workers.
He enjoyed anything having to do with computers, and could build a computer from “scratch”. He loved traveling with his wife, and they took many long weekend trips to Florida sites, but he especially loved seeing the mountains of Georgia in the Fall. He would do anything for his grandchildren, and was always a good sport, no matter what they wanted him to do. He will be remembered for his easy, laid-back manner and his loving nature. He will be missed by many.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home, 5228 Trouble Creek Rd., New Port Richey, Florida 34652. Arrangements handled by Dan Vinson with Vinson Funeral Home.
