Sharon Ann Will (Walter), 72, of Palm Harbor, passed away October 28, 2019 after a recent reoccurrence of breast cancer. In her final days she was surrounded by all of her family and a steady stream of friends. Sharon was born in, Devils Lake, North Dakota where she met and married the love of her life, Wayne Will. After brief stops throughout the Midwest the Will's made their home in Palm Harbor, FL 38 years ago. Knowing the benefits of being close to her children Sharon was a stay at home mother while her children were young. She returned to the work force as a speech pathologist in the Pasco County Schools, and later she did one on one early intervention with toddlers, through Early Steps. Her retirement gave her the opportunity to influence children as a volunteer at Tarpon Springs Elementary. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Past President of the Palm Harbor Junior Women's League, also Palm Harbor Woman of the Year and Teacher of the Year. She enjoyed Tai Chi Club, Mahjong Club, and was an avid Canasta player. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; son, David (Annie); daughters, Jennifer (Billy) Monteverde and Marnie (Nannette) Crowley; sisters-in-law, Mary Walter and Mary Rutten; 4 nieces and nephews and her true pride and joy, her 8 grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy (Engan) Walter, her brothers, Jon Michael Walter and Jon Raymond Walter, and a niece, Heide (Rutten) Medina. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to METAvivor, an organization dedicated to metastatic breast cancer research, support and awareness. A memorial mass will be held at 1pm on Thursday, October 31, at St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, Tarpon Springs. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
