Thomais (Tommie) Angelis, 79, a longtime resident of Tarpon Springs and devout Greek Orthodox Christian, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones, on January 23, 2021. She was born in Monolithos-Rhodes, Greece and she spent her life raising her family in Tarpon Springs. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered as an incredible strong, brave, thoughtful, kind, giving and loving person who always put the needs of others before her own and she possessed a beautiful soul. She loved and was loved by many friends who will miss her greatly. She was a truly genuine person who freely gave loving greetings to everyone and who's smile was always from the heart. You could rely on her to be your best critic, and yet your strongest supporter, the greatest friend and most trusted advisor, that always spoke the truth even if it hurt. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Angelo C. Angelis and her beloved brothers, George Seitis and Larry Seitis. She is survived by two sons, Cimos Angelis and Jackey Angelis; one daughter, Mary Ann Angelis; the joys of her life, her two grandchildren, Miros Petru and Thomaitsa Petru; two sisters, Joyce Psaroulis and Avgi Pouliasi; her loving brother, Michael Seitis; three sister-in-laws, Nikki Seitis, Irene Seitis and Bonnie Seitis; one brother-in-law, Peter C. Angelis; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and lifelong friends. She earned the respect of her community by giving freely of love and kindness and never had an enemy. Her legacy will be that she was the rock and foundation of a very close and loving family whose values and morals were shaped and influenced by her example of a life well lived.
