Virginia " Ginger" (Riggs) Plouffe, passed away on December 11, 2023. Virginia, lovingly known as Ginger was a God fearing woman. She was the bold, loving and forgiving Matriarch of a large family. She enjoyed people, culture, food and fellowship. Ginger gave back to her community for decades, logging hundreds of volunteer hours at the Shepherd's Center in Tarpon Springs, and at Helping Hands located in New Port Richey, Florida. She will be missed but never forgotten. She had a heart of gold that will shine on forever. She is survived by, daughter, Shirley M.Wilbanks of Yulee, Florida; son, Jimmie E. Lee of Wimauma, Florida; daughter, Sandy L. Davis of Brooksville, Florida; daughter, Crystal G. Doughlas of Union, South Carolina; daughter, Lisa Derksen Huyck of Hudson, Florida; 19 Grandchildren, 51 great Grandchildren and 7 great great Grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Friday, December 15th at the Michels and Lundquist Chapel, 5228 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey. Interment to follow at Cycadia Cemetery, Tarpon Springs. Vinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
